Who we are
Carpet Dyeing Doctor is a carpet dyeing, color correction and carpet repair company operating from Dallas, Texas and serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. This policy covers this website and the inquiries we receive through it. It doesn’t cover any third-party site we link to.
Throughout this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Carpet Dyeing Doctor. "You" means anyone visiting this site or contacting us through it.
Information you give us
We only ask for what we need in order to quote and carry out the work. When you submit the quote form or contact us, that’s typically:
Photographs you send are used to assess the work and, with your permission, may be used as before-and-after examples. We’ll always ask separately before using a photograph publicly, and we don’t publish addresses alongside them.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: the pages you view, the approximate region you’re visiting from, your browser and device type, and the site or search that referred you. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is working properly.
We use website analytics for this purpose. Analytics cookies and similar technologies may be set by those tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still function, though some usage measurement will be lost.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to do the following, and nothing else:
We don’t use your information for automated decision-making, and we don’t build advertising profiles from it.
Marketing and text messages
If you give us your phone number in order to get an estimate, we use it to discuss that job. We won’t add you to a marketing list without asking you first, and we don’t send marketing text messages to numbers given to us for a quote.
If you do opt in to updates, every message will include a way to stop them, and stopping is immediate. Asking us to stop marketing never affects our ability to contact you about work that’s actually booked.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only where it is necessary to run the business:
If the business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of it. You would be told before that happened, and this policy would continue to apply to information collected under it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don’t become jobs are kept only as long as they’re useful for following up, then deleted. Records of completed work are kept longer, because they support the warranty on the work and our tax and insurance obligations.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Where we’re legally required to keep a record (a completed invoice, for example) we’ll tell you that, keep only what is required, and delete the rest.
Your choices and rights
Whatever state you’re in, you can ask us to do all of the following, and we won’t charge you or treat you differently for asking:
Texas residents, and residents of other states with comparable laws, may have additional statutory rights. We apply the rights above to everyone regardless of where they live, because it’s simpler and fairer than sorting people by state.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including limiting internal access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we’ll tell you promptly if a breach affects your information in a way that requires notification.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes to how we use your information will be described rather than quietly substituted.
