Our commitment
We want anyone to be able to find out what we do, understand whether we can help with their carpet, and get in touch, regardless of how they browse the web or what assistive technology they use.
We treat accessibility as part of building the site properly rather than as a feature added at the end. When we find something that excludes people, we fix it.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is the standard most commonly referenced in US accessibility practice and the one we hold ourselves to.
We describe this as our target rather than a certification. The site hasn’t been through a formal third-party audit, and we’d rather say so plainly than imply a conformance level we haven’t verified.
What we have done
The following are built into the site:
What we know needs work
Being honest about the gaps is part of the statement:
This list is updated as items are resolved rather than left to go stale.
Getting in touch another way
If the site isn’t working for you, the phone always is. Call us during business hours and we’ll take the details of your carpet, answer questions, and arrange a free inspection without you needing to use the website at all.
If you would rather not use a form, you can simply describe the problem by phone or email and we’ll handle the rest. No one should have to fight a website to get an estimate.
Reporting a problem
Tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened, plus the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you know it. That’s usually enough for us to reproduce and fix it.
We aim to acknowledge reports within three business days and to fix or offer a workaround as quickly as we practically can. If a fix will take a while, we’ll tell you how you can get what you need in the meantime.
