Do you have general questions about carpet dyeing or  about its process?

Below you will find a list of questions that we have accumulated and answered for some of our clients. For additional details please give us a call or fill out the form on the contact us page.

  • What is carpet dyeing?

Carpet dyeing is a restoration process that involves the application of colored dye to carpet fibers with the aim of covering up spots, fading, and other discolorations to match the pre-existing shade

  • When is carpet dyeing appropriate?

When you have a faded or heavily stained carpet within your home or business and you looking for a more cost efficient method instead of replacing the carpet.

  • Can all carpets be dyed?

No. In most cases, carpets made from olefin and polyester cannot be dyed. Carpets featuring nylon and wool can be dyed. Polypropylene, olefin, and polyester carpets cannot be re-dyed on premise. To answer your question accurately, our carpet dyeing specialists will need to take a closer inspection of your carpet to determine whether it can be dyed or not.

  • Can I have my carpet any color I want?

Yes, to a certain extent. However, it is important to remember that dyes are translucent which means it goes deeper and permeates into carpet fibers. The type of fiber and the dye used will influence the appearance of your carpet after dyeing. By rule, we can switch to a new color family, but we cannot dye dark colored fabrics to a lighter shade or color. We highly recommend scheduling an inspection so that our carpet dyeing professionals can determine whether we can switch your carpet to a new color or not.

  • Can you repair permanent stains?

Here at Carpet Dyeing Doctor, we have the products and tools to address the most stubborn stains. Our carpet dyeing professionals will use superior-quality dyes to re-dye your carpet to a deeper color to cover stains, fading, and other imperfections. We can also resolve bleach spots and pet stains which may have changed the color of your residential or commercial carpeting over time.

  • Must I have my carpet cleaned before you can dye it?

There is no need to have your carpet professionally cleaned before the dyeing process. Your carpet will be thoroughly cleaned during our dyeing process. We will clean the carpet again after dyeing, giving it a flawless, almost brand-new appearance.

  • Will the color rub off onto shoes or even damp feet?

You do not have to worry about dyes rubbing off your shoes or damp feet. All our carpet dyeing solutions here at Carpet Dyeing Doctor deliver colorfast and permanent results. We use dyes that only take a few seconds to dry after application. We utilize a sophisticated dyeing process that ensures superior chemical bonding to the carpet fibers.

  • What is your guarantee?

Here at Carpet Dyeing Doctor, we are confident in the workmanship and results we provide to residential and commercial clients. We exclusively use durable and colorfast dyes that are like those being used by original carpet manufacturers. We offer best-in-class service guarantee for all our carpet dyeing services. However, customers must take note that re-dyed carpets will be subjected to bleaching agents, pet stains, liquid spills, sunlight, and years of wear and tear that will eventually fade its color over time.

  • How long will it take to dye my carpet?

The duration of our carpet dyeing services will depend on the dimension and type of carpet you have at your home of business. Our carpet dyeing professionals can clean and dye an average-sized room in one to two hours. A larger room that requires wall-to-wall dye services can take an entire day to finish. For multiple rooms and large commercial spaces, we can complete the carpet dyeing process in two to three days.
